Hi! I have noticed that most posts are from the Philadelphia area, but I wanted to assure people that there are some fabulous eateries in Lancaster County. To name a few? The Log Cabin is often said to have the best steak between Kansas and NYC (I would agree!). We also have a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant called Gibraltar.
For a quick but thoroughly enjoyable breakfast or lunch, downtown boasts Wish You Were Here. They offer omelettes, sandwiches, and the best home-made soups in the area, among other favorites.
East of Eden Pub offers German-Austrian dinners and mouth-watering desserts. My father is German-born and has always joked that one should NEVER eat German food in this contry (maybe not in Germany either) but East of Eden blows away this argument.
If anyone needs detailed directions to these places, let me know! I think it is possible to eat out every night for 2 months and never run out of choices here. Some choices are just more worthwhile than others.
