"Original Krung Thai" vs. "New Krung Thai" in SJ?

Does anyone know the story behind the 2 Krung Thai restaurants in SJ? I saw a couple of the past posts suggesting that the food is better at the "old" one (near Moorpark), and that the service is better, though the parking situation is worse and the decor is a bit shabby at the older one.

The "Old Krung Thai" web site ( http://www.originalkrungthai.com/ ) gives info on this location and the Mountain View location, but doesn't mention the "New Krung Thai" just up Winchester Ave. at all, which makes me wonder if there's an interesting story.

I've eaten in the new one and ordered out from the old one (both very good), but until just now it never occurred to me that there were any major differences in the food, but I wasn't really trying to compare, plus you really can't compare take-out vs. eat-in.
