Omaha breakfast lunch & dinner w/ family - recs?

I am in charge - or more accurately, am TAKING charge (haha) - of finding places for 6 adults and 2 kids (ages 7 & 3 1/2) to eat during a mini-family reunion in Omaha on Memorial Day weekend. None of us is FROM Omaha, though...we picked it because of its central location between Denver & Chicago. So please help me pick some suitable places to eat out in Omaha! We are staying at 72nd St. & I-80 but are willing to drive anywhere in the metro area for good food. Here are a few criteria to help guide the recommendations:

1. What do we like to eat? Burgers, BBQ, Mexican and home/country/soul cooking - if you could give me your idea of "Omaha's Best" for any or all of these categories, I'd be much obliged! Bonus points for places where I can get a cold (preferably microbrewed) beer, too, although since we have kiddos with us, we'll have to skip places that are primarily bars or pubs.

2. Where do you like to go out for breakfast in Omaha? We like both the standard eggs/pancakes/hash browns places as well as places that are more creative.

3. How about ice cream parlors or frozen custard stands other than Marble Slab, Cold Stone & Culver's (I love them but can find them on my own if need be)?

Thanks so much!
