Taking a walk yesterday evening I noticed that the downstairs menu at Oliveto has been expanded to around 10 starters (mostly $10 or under) and 10 pastas and entrees (mostly $15 and under). Prices are slightly higher but not much. The sample menu on the Web site hasn't been updated.
Also walked by Addis, which had an "under new management" sign and liquor-license transfer, and smelled something fabulous. So we went back for dinner and got the Addis combo ($20). The beef and lentil wot were the best I've had and the chicken and egg wot was really good. The vegetarian dishes and the beef alicha were OK but I prefer Colucci's.
Had a bottle of South African Baobab merlot ($20), which was like a Veneto or Friuli wine, not the trendy fruit-bomb style.
