I will be in NYC mid Feb for a long wknd, and will be looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night.
Basically, I am a major food-ie and am willing to venture out but since I'm very limited on time - have to work around my 3 concert schedule-, I don't want to go somewhere where I have to travel very very far for.
I'll be most likely venturing out from my hotel in midtown manhattan (7th/W. 53rd) so somewhere semi-near there would be nice.
What type of food? Any type. I love it all though I like to avoid italian because there's so much of it all over the place. But if some place is a must go place and is italian (someone might suggest mario batalli's rest.) then by all means do so. I'm big on regional cuisine but I'm not too sure what that means in NYC.
So if you had to name one of the top restaurants, please name it! Include classics, because I haven't been to NYC in ages. I want to go somewhere that is not top $ though because I don't want to deal w/the stuffy atmosphere. I'm looking for moderate range where I can dress business casual or even casual.
many many thanks.
