I am hunting for a chinese restaurant that has NE(US) style food. For instance, won ton soup in golden pork broth with green onions and strips of red tinged BBQ pork in the broth? Golden yellow fried rice with pork and veggies?
It seems to me that NE style is a bit Americanized - but that's fine by me. I appreciate authentic as well, but when you have a cold, there is nothing like good won ton soup broth. Every where I have been in TX has used a bland, watery chicken broth - Mei Mei china in Plano even puts iceberg lettuce shreds in their chicken won ton soup.
Has anyone here experienced Chinese food in NY, NJ, MA or CT??
