Had my first restraunt week lunch today at NOBU and wasnt very impressed. I mean for all the hype that it gets for being the best restaurant in Manhattan. I imagine next time I will try one of the cooked mains rather than sushi and try for a dinner reservation (yeah right). But for 20.14 you get a miso soup and salad and a choice of black cod, sushi, or something else maybe salmon teriyaki. Finished off with some pretty nasty strawberry tapioka and two shortbread cookies.
The sushi assorment was delicious though. six peices of sushi(assorted fish, octopus ect..), a salmon roe sushi, and a tuna roll. The quality was way up there!
Is it better for dinner (probably) and are the cooked meals better than the sushi?
-any recs for next time, ill be back next week to try, maybe the cod?
