Just returned from a very nice meal at Cortina (2nd between 75 and 76). All that we have had is good (this was our second visit). Tonight, I had a seafood salad, which was typical but better than average (i.e. all the usual stuff, but done well) and linguni amaltafani (sp?) which had sundried tomatoes, olives, olive oil, and anchovies, and was very good (and to my taste, as I like all the ingredients). My wife had a red snapper special, which she also enjoyed.
While the food is good, it isn't world class. But no one could make you feel more welcome. Here we were, two adults in jeans and a 4 year old. We had been there once before (in April). Francesca (owner? manager? I dunno)greeted us like regulars, got into a conversation with Gabriel, and so on. Plus, while the restaurant was quiet, we were made to feel completely at home.
Entrees were in the $15 range.
A nice place (with or without a kid).
