Nacho's in Calgary?

Hey everyone,

On a rainy Monday, I suddenly had a mad craving for nachos. The problem is, I couldnt remember anywhere in the city that had decent nachos. My favourite used to be at Desperado's waay back in the day, but since they've closed, i don't know anywhere to get good nachos.

Where do you think the best nachos in the city are? For me, the definition of best includes:

1. Copious quantities of cheese (multi-layered please, not just on top).

2. A large quantity of salsa and other sides (sour cream if that's your style, and possibly guac). Bringing a small dixie cup of salsa, then charging a buck for extra salsa is ridiculous.

3. Good, GOOD, chips. I hate the regular bulk, by the tonne, corn tortilla chip. Too dry, too flavourless. Fresh chips would be best. Slightly salted and flavoured chips with bite (not soggy) are acceptable.

4. Appropriate price to toppings ratio. If you're paying 12 bucks for nachos like most establishments seem to charge these days, i expect there to be the appropriate amount of meat, tomatos, onions, jalapenos, etc...

Suggestions?
