When I was in a NY Chinatown years ago with a Chinese roommate, we had some noodle like things that I have not found again because she didn't know what they were called in English and never ordered off the menu anyway. They were like thick slices of noodle, and a little bigger in diameter than a quarter, sliced at an angle, came in a sauce. If I had to guess, I'd say they were probably some kind of rice noddle product.
This looks like the forum that may be able to answer my questions (I've been happily lurking for a while) - what were they, and where can I find them again?
(They were not the sort of gummy Korean noodles that are about the size of your little finger-the other "large noodle" I've gotten by asking around.)
