I would like to get other opinions, because every review I have heard of Musashi has been mixed. My own experiences have been quite negative.
I work down the street from Musashi and I have had nothing but awful experiences from here. The food is mediocre at best, but the service is terrible. They do not accomodate substitutions (ie. seaweed salad for green salad) even for an extra charge. They seem to be trying to take advantage of you in every way (small portions - yes, for sushi very small, very high prices - especially considering the quality).
Most recently, I ordered a seaweed salad. For $5.75 I recieved a 1/4 full small bowl of soggy seaweed. When I mentioned to the server that the portion did not look right he told me that's the way they always do it and the chef chimed in, 'if you don't like it don't order here'.
I would highly recommend to AVOID Musashi at all costs. There are better places down the street (i.e. Sushi Club or Sushi Inn in Yorkville or Sushi on Bloor further away). You would be better off eating at the Rebel House and avoiding sushi on this strip of Yonge.
As I said, I am interested to hear other opinions.
