Found myself in Portsmouth yesterday afternoon and regrettably my choices for grub were limited. I wanted to eat at 43 Degrees North but it did not open until 5.00. Hungry and unable to wait , headed off to Muddy River. I do not understand the rave reviews this place gets. I had the famous pulled pork sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce and my other half had the baby back ribs. The pork was mixed with the most sickly sweet sauce I have ever eaten. I could only imagine what the regular is like. The ribs
ditto. Coleslaw was an uninspiring, tasteless, watery mess. Fries
ho hum. Margarita ( my favorite mixed cocktail! ) blah. One the good side the waitress was very nice and the 20 ounce Boddington beer was great.
Down and Dirty BBQ in Manchester is way better than this place.
Adding insult to injury... the Tiki bar down the street is gone!
