Hi. Once upon a time the Tea served at the Huntington was a rather good deal and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The food was never very good but the beautiful surrounds and AYCE-ness made up for that.
Nowadays they charge $29 and I can no longer ignore how basically poor and same-old the fare is.
Can you help with an improved suggestion?
Let me add that I won't really be using the meal so much as Tea but as Lunch; it needs to be partaken prior to 2pm as there are children involved: a well-mannered 10yo to feed and an older one to collect afterwards. So what's desirable is good quality food, elegance, brightness, AYCE would be a bonus but not necessary in exchange for high quality.
Anyone have a suggestion? I know there is much in the archives but it's a little hard to filter for these specific qualifications; I thought I'd just ask anew.
Thanks very much for your thoughts.
