A Brief recent Mori visit. (a shorter review, primarily a listing bc i am lazy and hazy at the moment).

So I had something to eat already beforhand at the bar next door, which doles out some decent bar snacks and a few drinks to boot. The bar snacks I had was the deviled eggs which are really good especially with the added umami from the piece of chicken skin on top, and the brussels sprouts with goat cheese (though it was a tad too sweet), and a piece of the steak sandwich, one of the trio of chicken liver toasts, and the octupus dish and a couple orders of the fingerling potatoes that are beautifully beautiflully smoked (a vegetarian who still can't find smokey veggie food will love this dish i do believe to bits).

Then on to Mori: (my list may be hazy due to slight inebriation).:
(all were one piece at a time):

Tuna sushi.
bfin toro sushi.
bigeye toro sushi
yellowtail family (not buri, they were already out at that later hour) sushi.
Kabujime sushi.
Sea Eel sushi.
Scallope sushi.
jumbo clam sushi.
tamago (they were out of the fluffy tamagoyaki though, if was later in the evening once again).
ikura.
Hokkaido uni. (delicious as always, and so was that trio of tuna sushi earlier).
Hotatru sushi.
ankimo bowl.
Isaki sushi.
firefly squid (which is truly great and something i have only had in season at shunji in my myriad years of sushi devouring).

a small sake which i can't remember the name of, and a beer.

And then a profiterole type dessert.

and a scoop of green tea ice cream.

because two desserts are always better than one if you happen to ask me.

:)
