I've been tasked with finding a restaurant for dinner on a Monday night in Half Moon Bay. My coworkers and I will be a group of 8 on a short business retreat. I think we're meant to have a "nice" work dinner without totally breaking the bank, probably about $30/person without drinks considered. Unfortunately, my boss doesn't realize that many the few "nice" restaurants are closed on Mondays. We don't need something professional, and actually will be looking to blow off a bit of steam after a day of solid business talk.
Feedback on atmosphere and quality of food would be great. The options I am looking at now include:
Mezze Luna – Italian http://www.mezzalunabythesea.com/dinn...
Miramar Beach – Seafood, Steaks, Pasta http://miramarbeachrestaurant.com/men...
Half Moon Bay Brewing Co – seafood and beer http://www.hmbbrewingco.com/contact/c...
I also looked at Cafe Gibraltar and La Costanera. They're closed Mondays. I might throw in the towel and take everyone to Flying Fish Grill. Love their fish tacos, but definitely a notch below the type of restaurant we're hoping for. Is Barbara's Fish Trap similar in vibe and food options or nicer?
