Anyone tried Moo Time ice cream? On the recommendation of one of my vendors I purchased 2 pints for $5 at Henry's. As I was checking out the bag girl began telling me how she wasn't really a huge ice cream fan, but this stuff was SOOOO good she could eat a whole pint by herself.
Well, since ice cream is an essential food group for me I was eagerly anticipating trying Moo Time. I was not disappointed. I bought 2 flavors, Vanilla Bean and Italian Stracciatella (chocolate chips). Both were excellent. Vanilla is usually not my first choice when picking flavors, but I have to say this is probably the best version I think I've ever tasted. The chocolate chip was great, the chips are very, very small pieces that are evenly and densely distrubtued throughout the ice cream. This is a super, super premium ice cream. It tastes like it and has the same kind of texture and mouthfeel as the more widely distributed super premium ice creams. I would say that Moo Time is as good or better than B&J or Hagen Daz.
Henry's carries 5 flavors - the 2 mentioned above, a Peanut Butter Chocolate, Strawberry and a Lemon Sorbet. From what I understand it is a local company base in Coronado. A link to their web page is below. FWIW, I'd definitely give this ice cream 2 big thumbs up. It's worth a trip to Henry's for it, and 2 pints for $5 is a good deal.
