Monterey Area

Unbeliveable! Dinner at two places that were the best in recent memory.

1) Epsilon in Monterey. Get the Lamb Sirloin Steak. Even if you are not fond of lamb, try this. Tender and perfect. The smell alone made my mouth water about a quart. Ask the waiter for his reccomendations. The salads were very tasty, with a vinagrette dressing that was just tart enough to savor. They also make some kind of dip out of bread and lemon juice that will leave you begging.

2) Favaloro's in Pacific Grove. This little Italian joint has great seafood and pastas. The calamari appetizer was delicate and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the sand dabs, and was shocked by the portion. Eight, count 'em, Eight filets! Couldn't finish my plate. Service was excellent and personable. Dinner for 6 with wine (2 bottles) and dessert $165. Also, they have a piano player on weekends...
