Mohegan Sun Winefest -- Too Much Wine and Food, Too Little Time

My son is going to be at the Sun Winefest this weekend http://www.sunwinefest.com/exhibitors... and he's asked me for advice. I thought I'd pass his questions along to those who may have experience with this type of event. With so many wines available for sampling, he doesn't know the best approach to take in order to taste the best of what's available and still be able to leave the event on his own two feet at the end of the day. Is there a "strategy" he might follow? Given the wineries that will be represented, are there some that should be bypassed in favor of others that should not be missed? In general, what's the best way to make the most of an event of this magnitude?
