Mohegan Sun: Tuscany revisited

On recent trip to Mohegan Sun we had late nite light dinner at Tuscany, Todd English's signature restaurant at the casino. Tasting notes follow:

In contrast to previous visit, all our dishes were served nice and hot rather than room temperature... perhaps they've gotten the message.

Calamari w/ Aioli. Nicely done simple tasty appetizer.

Gnocchi in Tomato Gorganzola sauce: Very tasty. nothing not to like.

Castagna Pizza: w/ chestnut puree, prosciutto, etc. A favorite. If in doubt here just order a couple of the pizza's. As an appetizer there's easily enough for 4 or a meal for one and very fairly priced.

DESSERTS: Maple Mascarpone Cheesecake was not as good as we remembered it, but still quite tasty. Great w/ coffee. THe Pumpkin Creme Brulee was a disappointment, served very cold it was not up to par.

Overall we love sitting OUTSIDE at this place and people-watching. Great respite from the tables and slots. The food is somewhat inconsistent but we'll probably return.

PS: this place is so much better than the unappealing buffets at Mohegan.
