We discovered tonight that the Pho Bac Huynh branch on Wilshire Blvd. has closed. The parking lot attendant said it happened in mid September and as far as he knew they were closed for good. There is a form eviction notice in the door (oddly, carrying the name of the late Sheriff Sherman Block instead of the current Sheriff).
I know that Pho Bac Huynh had not done well on this board of late, and Chris G's downhill alert this week was sad to read, because we'd always enjoyed the place, they were very accomodating to Baby Play as he would toss noodles around, and now the only westside choices seem to be the tiny Saigon and the generic Noodle Planet.
(Still more choices than there were a few years ago; then, the only store in West LA with "Pho" on the sign was a "Pho-to" shop on Santa Monica Blvd.--I stared at that sign for months hoping it would somehow turn into a Vietnamese restaurant.)
