mmmm, great strawberries at Saechao's Family Farm in Fairfield

They're Chandler berries, grown without pesticides though not organic. Sweet and ripe red through and through. While some of them were large, they weren't the behemoths that so often disappoint--but notably, many of them were oddly-shaped, like fans. We paid $17 for a flat. They were also selling excellent walnuts (shelled), favas (not shelled), uninspiring tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. Later on they'll have blackberries--but go get these strawberries now, they're ready for you.
