Mission Impossible?

I have 150 employees who need a place to have their annual company summer outing. In past years, we've gone up to Westchester to Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club, but the traveling was a real hassle.

Last year, we went to Chelsea Piers and had our catering done at Pier 60. It was beautiful and the location on the water was perfect. But we do a company "activity" (wacky olympics or scavenger hunt-type thing) and the area around the Piers is pretty much empty of interesting stuff.

So . . . Where else might be a good spot? My budget's not really the issue - it's all about size (has to hold 150 people for lunch, comfortably), convenience (travel to an outer borough is not preferable), location (on the water, in an interesting neighborhood) and food (we need good food and a flexible kitchen - we like "upscale" BBQ-type stuff for this event).

Suggestions? Thank you!
