The Minnow, Park Slope (Good Ol'Brooklyn)

Went to The Minnow last night. We had the fried clams, halibut and squid entree as a "consolation", because the mussels were gone, and it was very good and large enough for 2 people to share. For dinner we both had the cod and it was succulent and the candied yam fritters that we ordered as a side were very, very tasty. There was a small, but varied wine list. The menu is all fish except for a vegetarian lasagna, a steak and the all trusty free-range chicken. The restaurant was hopping and the chef/proprietor made his way around the place welcoming the diners. The service, at times, was tentative but that was due to inexperience and the willingness to serve. There were about 7 or 8 desserts and we devoured the Apple Krumble with vanilla ice cream. I recommend The Minnow with 3 forks raised high. ps: It is about time that Park Slope got a few more restaurants which this chowhound greets with her knife and fork. Buon apetito!
