MINCA ramen shop review

MINCA still rules. spouse and i were in there this afternoon. we both had shoyu ramen. superb pork and the broth remains fantastic, very thick, rich and miso-ish. ramen is of an excellent quality, thick and al dente. i forgot how much i like their cold tea too it's a good antidote to the heavy broth of the noodle dish. service is sweet and prompt.

i was happy to see they were open in the daytime on a sunday for lunch. cost was $22 w/ tip for two. they also serve a few apps and a double pork version of ramen for double the cost. only downside was that no warm tea was available. MINCA is located on 5th street at avenue b in the east village. keep'em in mind as it gets cold --- it was nice to sit in the window and watch the world go by slurping up good ramen!
