I heard about Minado in NY/NJ area, and heard that it was opening in Natick. Went there twice the first week, once for dinner, once for lunch. The place just across Rt. 9 from the Natick Mall, and is fairly big, I'd say over 400 seats. I was expecting to step inside a cafeteria-like atmosphere (I had this horrible buffet experience in CT once during travel), but it was surprisingly clean and tasteful.
Foodwise, I liked it a lot. Not greasy like other Asian buffet, and I love sushi, so I was in heaven. There were other types of hot food with low carb (plus in my book), several different types of salad and deserts.
It's been 2 weeks already, so can't remember the menu details, but they had chicken and beef in addition to seafood. Again, not deep-fried ala typical chinese buffet. Salads and deserts were there, and I think they had Udon (noodles) and hot food you can order, too. Tried to sample a bit of everything, but I had to stop after 2 plates. Getting old, I guess.
I had a very good experience in a clean and friendly environment.
