Enough has been said about the glory of mina and that reputation is more than deserved. It's excellent, and if one or two dishes are not extraordinary, they rival any like example from anywhere previously but now alterably loved. The service issue has come back to haunt them, a bit of so much time and so few dishes but our hosts are generous, gracious and kind of elegant really. The decor belies that elegance, I don't think anyone has mentioned the four colorful paper lanterns that attach willy nilly to the ceiling, or the paintings of switzerland - you have to appreciate that.
Had to post to say that when some more food was finally brought to our table with apologies etc, the gentleman serving it said....you know, there's a website called chowhound and they say we are very slow, he paused to laugh - but we try to make our food perfect and we will maybe get better at the rest. I said ahh, you must be the nephew. He blushed and smiled in his new infamous guise. (I think he may rate the spinoff series)
Some best dishes of the night fyi - vege pakora, yellow lentils, shrimp malai curry, chicken tikka, palak paneer, vege pakora, roti, roti, roti, pani puri, fish dopiyaja, vege pakora, and did I say...vege pakora?
