The MUNI snarl this morning let me to walk from Church Street to the Civic Center station. YUM (the food store) was on the way on Market. I snuck in and got a rather pricey box of Michael Recchuiti chocs (first line assortment if I was right) - $20 for a box of 9 pieces.
Good quality stuff (I know Ruth's a fan -- good taste!), but with this price tag, there are two flavors that I would long for.
The first is the caramel rose for the exquisitely rosy dawn around golden caramel.
The second was a cardamom flavored chocholate with a rich buttery inside (texture reminds me of Brillat-Savarin cheese) that carries the spice very well, especially with its lightest possible hint of saltiness that interacts wonderfully with the sweetness.
Anyone know if one can just get them individually instead of by the assorted box?
