HELP.. I MESSED UP THE CHEX MIX

Canthespam | Apr 4, 2009 11:22 AM

I made a batch and a half of the original mix to take to a party tonight. It tasted bland and then I realized that I had used only half of the W sauce called for.

I have added more garlic powder, onion powder and seasoned salt... still tastes bland. It is very crispy, so I don't know if I want to put it back in the oven with added W sauce.

I hate to start all over again - is there any way to add more W sauce at this stage? I thought about adding the W sauce to some butter, melting it in a roasting pan (the initial step of the recipe) and maybe baking it for another 15 minutes. I don't think that I can pour the additional 1.5 tablespoon over it and mix it in - what would be the best way to add it?
