Originally I am from Alberta, and I grew up around Lethbridge and Grande Prairie at two different stages of my life. When I moved to Victoria, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the Mennonite sausages offered there. I thought it would be easier to find quality Mennonite sausages after moving to Vancouver, but no avail so far. I know people have recommended a few from Abbotsford and Chilliwack, but the ones I came across are not really the same as home. I will admit they are close, but they are missing something.
Most of the sausages we had were sourced from Regina, SK and Wembley, AB; I wager it has to do with the recipes involved, and not so much the butchershops or delis. Anyone on this forum can help this Albertan boy feel more at home on the west coast?
