Will be flying into Arkansas on Sunday morning and have decided to take a round-about route for food purposes through Memphis and then up to St. Louis and over the Kansas City and on back to our home in Oregon.
So, we've decided to focus on BBQ and Southern/Soul food. I really like Q, but my friend really loves smothered dishes.
One of the obvious problems will be that our first day is Sunday and we might be in St. Louis Sunday night.
(Any good and cheap golf courses around St. Louis area that would give us a good reason to stop over or should we just head on to KC and skip St. Louis.)
Also, any roadside recs would be greatly appreciated on this journey. Obviously, the primary route would probably be I-55 to I-70, although recs for highway loops for food purposes that don't add too much time would be fine as well. We'll probably take 70 all the way to Denver, too.
