Yet another meal at Jones

Having Jones and Morimoto a block form my office is a dangerous thing. Morimoto especially. But Jones is less expensive and nobody in the office will go to Jones.

Jones is a "comfort food" place. Really? Our waitress looked like she hadnt washed her clothes in some time. This made us uncomfortable. The fireplaces are nice, but the furniture was disaterous (my boss is sending them the chiropractic bill).

The food is good, however. Soemthings are better than others. This is my fourth time going, and I will say that I always get and enjoy the deviled eggs. Although I have wrote previously on other sites (such as my blog) that I suspected the chef was removing a sliver out of each egg leaving me with only 7/8 of an egg, it would appear that I received complete devlied eggs today. They were up to par, which I consider to be very good.

We ordered some calamari, which were as forgettable as the watery marinara-type sauce that came with them.

I had the Turkey pot pie for lunch. Served much too hot eat, it finally did cool off for me to find out it was mostly roux-thickened gravy under the puff pastry and little veges or turkey. Tasted good though.

I have, in the past, enjoyed the meatloaf, the briskit burger and the chicken sandwich, all of which I like very much.

I have not yet tried dessert.

Bill was $60 for 3 people out the door.

Good overall lunch place. A half notch up from Olgas diner.
