In response to recommendations for Lola's in Oak Bluffs, we went there for dinner last night and were shocked by how mediocre, actually truly terrible, the food is. The ribs were prepared decently, but the bbq sauce was almost toxic in flavor. Even the side dish of macaroni and cheese was inedible. The jambalaya tasted as if it had been lying around or was made with canned sauce. Biscuits - one of the highlights of any southern meal - even these were flavorless. Portions are large. The menu is promising, but we were truly saddened by the food.

We had steamed lobsters in the Seafood Shanty on the water in Edgartown and they were fine.

The eating highlight was ice cream at Mad Martha's.
