Had dinner at Marseille, 9th at 44th, in Hell's Kitchen Saturday eve. Overall excellent.
Nice greeting by hostess, love the decor, white leather chairs with piping, shiny wood tables, very bistro-feeling.
Server, was aloof and harried.
Ordered drinks and had delicous crusty peasant bread..wow.
I ordered two apps, the Nicoise salad and the Tart Menton... The Nicoise was great, but very, very tiny, and served in a soup bowl.. kind of strange..
The Tart Menton was wonderful, great caramelized onions, capers, very good.
Husband ordered the haricot verts salad for app, wonderful! He also had a side of merguez sausage, which he devourd.. For dinner, he had the short ribs, which were otu of this world..
Desserts were great. I had the hazelnut bavarois, kind of a chocolate cake with creme on top. He had the cafe and beignets, warm, and delicous..
WE had a great night and would definitely go back..
