MarkJosephs - Recent Visit.

A recent visit to MJS yielded exactly the meal that we were expecting. The four of us ordered the Clams Casino, the Baked Clams and the Calamari to start which we shared all around, then we had Porterhouse for 3 - rare. Sauteed spinach, 3 slices of bacon and the Penfold's Koonunga Hill Cab/Shiraz (A tasty, zesty bottle of red plonk at $30 on the list) accompanied. The apps were perfectly tasty, with the calamari being especially nice, but let's face it one doesn't go to MJS for the apps. The steak was just as it was the last time I'd had it - tender, quite rare on the inside, seared crunchy on the outside, and PH for 3 was perfectly sized for the 4 of us. Service was friendly, casual, helpful. We were seated in JB's section and we also chatted with JC a little at the bar.

We made the reservations in the morning of the same day, got out for about $75.00/person including tip and had terrific steak and a nice meal overall.

I still like MJS!
