Mai Thai

Chileheads rejoice? Sounds that way from Josh Karpati's review in today's Hour. "To get the level of heat I've described means asking for more than is marked on the menu. Most dishes are listed with none, one or two chili icons. I asked for very hot, and was told it represented about five. Ask and ye shall receive." What's more, "there are many dishes available that aren't on any other Thai menus around town." And "I'll just come right out and say it: Mai Thai, which opened a scant month ago on Bernard in La Papaye Verte's old space, has some of the best Thai food I've eaten in Montreal."
