Has anybody else tried this place and have an opinion? SO and I went there on a whim last eve. It turns out they have a decent Chinese menu with several authentic-looking items. I tried the "sardine fish and peanuts" and sliced beef tendon with hot sauce, both apps, and both were very good. The "sardines" turned out to be those tiny fish with tiny little black eyes that show up occasionally (Peter Chang uses them as a flavoring in his baby dumpling dishes at Temptasian), crispy fried and salty. SO had sesame chicken from the American menu (OK for what it was) and we shared an order of seafood corn soup which was good. The waitress flagged several dishes popular with Chinese customers to try in the future, all from the Chinese menu, including CF12 special shrimp roll, CF18 seafood combo in casserole, CF20 steamed cod (order with "crispy" soybean paste), H7 Beef brisket in fire pot, H14 pork chop chinese style sweet and sour, and H36 pepper steak in hot plate.

The Chinese name of the place is "Dragon and Sparkling Water" (as Dave Barry says, I'm not making this stuff up folks). It is owned by the same guy who owns the place near the new Giant just north of downtown Rockville.

It is located near the intersection of Key West Ave. and Darnstown Road, close to the Children's Hospital Clinic.
