Lunch at Shiki

I was turned on to this place by a business associate. Okay, we also brew beer together, but he is a buddy nonetheless.

SHIKI in Orange is a non-descript Japanese eatery behind a Mobil station and next to a HoJo. You see the sign every time you are on the 55 and Katella, going south, but don't pay attention.

Their lunch specials are out of this world.

They have a menu of 15 or so lunch specials and also 8 boxes.

All of the specials come with a salad with this AMAZING ginger dressing. This dressing is to kill for. Most come with teryaki, sushi and tempura, all for about $6.

The sushi is always fresh and good, but basic. The tempura is passable and the teryaki is good. The whole combo is perfect for the price as it comes with the salad and miso.

The boxes and bowls tend to be a bit more interesting but also cheap.

Good food and great prices, but arrive early. They fill up quick. Don't miss the ginger dressing.

1936 E Katella Ave,
Orange, CA 92867
(714) 633-1765
(at Katella and the 55)
Lunch is from 11:30 - 2

They also have Teppan tables for larger parties.
