Okay, I'm being lazy here...but the only time I've had lunch in Montrose was about four years ago, with my old school buddy, and he wanted to eat at Rocky Cola. Adequate but boring, it was, nor did the nostalgia angle charm me, either; I lived through the '50s once, and I have no interest in doing it again...
Anyway, I want to schedule a lunch meeting with a man who's in Montrose most Wednesdays, and as we'll probably be arguing (calmly) about design issues it needs to be somewhere non-frenetic, and casual enough so that nobody's trying to make us pay up and leave. Cheap would be good, decent non-messy food great, and since I have no idea of this guy's tastes in anything but magazine design a range of possibilities would be welcome. I would think getting a sandwich or something from Schreiner's might be good, only it's way too hot to sit outside these days.
Suggestions? Aside from Rocky Cola?
