I am coming down from NYC for a day next weekend, and it has been 10 years since I have been in Philadelphia. So I could use some insight.
My wife and I will head to the flower show in the morning on saturday, then wanted to head to the Old part of town where there are brownstones, galleries, antique stores etc...not sure exactly that is yet. However we would like to stop in a cozy bistro for lunch. A nice place, with good bisto food and some nice wine. Any ideas?
Then for dinner, I am in the center of town, so anything that is an easy taxi. One problem is that it is a week away, so need to get a reservation. Price is not an issue, but I do not want anything too stuffy, or a five course tasting menu. Just great food, in a nice environment. Italian, American, and French (although typical too formal)are the types of foods we enjoy best.
