After reading the chow hound reviews, we decided to head out to Greene Street and try Luna Negra.
The first time, it was a Saturday at 5pm. The place was empty. But we were told we could not sit because they had reservations at 7pm. The hostess mistakenly thought that it was 6 pm, not 5. So we went elsewhere.
Giving the place the benefit of the doubt, we tried again.
Some of the worst tapas I have ever had. Mexican, not Spanish. Too many traditional tapas were breaded and fried, instead of grilled! And those items that were suppposed to be fried had obviously been frozen and re-fried. We left the plates full and refused a take home box.
Is there any other good, authentic tapas in LA County? I mean besides La Paella?
