I love the holidays, and around this time I find myself thinking more about cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas than everyday meals. I feel that I become much less creative and just want to get meals on the table and eaten, tasty but nothing fancy or new and different. I often get frustrated with myself for sticking to simplicity and basics at this time but I usually feel slightly better knowing I'm saving it all for a few big performances and I'll be right back in the daily creative cooking game in January. But, I wondered is this just me? I know people tend to not cook many unique and new things in the week or days before a holiday but what about leading up to that?
