How long can you keep cookie dough safely?

I have a batch of cookie dough I made last month, it's got ground nuts, sugar and egg whites in it, for the most part. Should I throw it out? They are real egg whites, not pasteurized.
I kinda think all the sugar is preserving everything, but then I kinda think, eww, through it out.
Any thoughts?
