Lobster Roll at Perdix, later the Druid

Just got back from vacation and decided to throw caution (and calorie counting) to the wind for one last day....

Went to Perdix for "blunch" yesterday and they have a fantastic lobster roll on the menu. $22 gets you big hunks of meat, lightly dressed with bits of avocado, cucumber and red onion (IIRC?) served on a buttered, grilled hot dog roll. Comes with an outstanding vinegar-mustard dressed slaw. plus fries. Really good and a great value. The atmosphere is more laid back than dinner, good service, just a bit more chill. Great iced coffee, and mimosas, and beer...

We actually started with the make your own fries kind of thing that tops the menu. Just wrong and insanely good - we had cheese & gravy fries. You can top your fries with chili and cheese, nacho toppings, or bacon with sour cream and chive. Yikes!

Ended up drinking MORE beers at the Druid in Inman Square. Took a look at the menu and it looks pretty good - oxtail stew even. Friend ordered fish and chips which was a HUGE portion, lightly battered - comes out piping hot wrapped in wax paper and then newspaper.
