Live Oak Ave., as it passes through Arcadia is unique. At first glance it appears to be a street that you might think of to get a windshield put in your car, rent an apartment or look for an office job. However, spotted here-and-there over a six block stretch beginning at Santa Anita Ave. going West to Peck Rd. there are more than a half dozen places that I eat at from time-to-time. Actually, there is a diverse selection of places to get a good meal on this three minute drive.. American, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and a New England style Fish Fry, Shrimp & Chowder Restaurant – all are found on Live Oak. Wow, to think that there are some countries in this world that do not have such a selection. We are blessed here in America. I could find something good to write about each of these places in a post by itself but I thought it might be better to list them together. My reasoning is that sometimes in America you can’t make up your mind what kind of food you want but you want to get out the door and start heading someplace. I am like that – just gotta go and I will figure out what direction later. Anyway, sometimes my wife and I look at each other at the crossroads and agree to head to “Live Oak.” This is why...
