Literati 2; solving a problem graciously

Love this restaurant - the room, lighting, service and the food but last night we had some ups and downs. I ordered the celery root soup with a yummy cheese crouton - very very good and enough to share however; then I had the Mussels as a main course; here was the problem, the broth was tastless, the mussels had been brought up on steroids they were so plump - and so tastless (lots of them) and the plateful was lukewarm. Bread is divine at this place. Mme Zoe hankered for the hamburger with sharp cheddar which she really enjoyed plus a side of brussel sprouts with almonds - those were awful, like bullets with a noticeable absence of discernable almonds. She loves the caesar salad and was not disappointed on this one.

When our wait person stopped by I told her the problems with the mussels and the sprouts; at this point we ordered the dessert of the night; a rhubarb/strawberry crumble with a fresh cream sorbet. Whatever it was, I would leave home immediately if I heard it was being served for dinner in Moscow. It was over the top.

Waitperson returned and told us that the Manager apologized for the mussels and brussel sprouts and removed those items from our bill and also comptd our dessert. This restaurant definitely aims to please and of course we will be back (skipping the mussels.
