Went to Li Ho after the riviting G-Town - UCLA basketball game (I sat with a bunch of UCLA friends - so they were quite happy with the last minute (actually 4.9 second 71-70 victory).
The food was okay, not as great as I hoped it would be. We only split two dishes that were made very fresh (we were the only ones there)
1) The FAMOUS singapore curry noodles - They were good, but not at all spicy - they could have used green bell peppers as far as I could tell. We enjoyed it, and it was flavorful - I guess I was expecting more.
2) Seafood chow fun - Great flavored wide noodles, and fresh seafood (including slices of a tasty fish cake - anyone know what it is?) BUT, the prawns and scallops, and mock crab were covered in a very slimy bland corn-starchy glaze - very thick, kinda killed the dish.
Still want to go back - there are a few specials I wanna try (soyed chicken - and fried ginger and chicken rice paper wrapped dumplings - I hope it was just a slow, saturday afternoon and they were a little off.
