I was in Buffalo over the weekend and ate here again. This time I had the Vietnamese Pho and thought it was quite good. Imagine that Pho in Buffalo! Since there were two of us we ordered one each of the grilled chicken and seafood.
The latter was offered with calamari, but I asked them to leave that out which they were kind enough to do. It consisted of mussels, shrimp and scallops. The broth was excellent with a fine flavor and not overwhelmed by fishy odors like can sometimes happen with a dish like this. There were lots of nice crisp vegetables which included bean sprouts and quite a few other delights.
The chicken had the same vegetable offering as the seafood, but large chunks of chicken that was grilled, giving them a nice flavor replaced the seafood. The curry, coconut additions to the broth were not overdone and complimented the dish nicely. I asked for this one to be spiced mild and the seafood medium. I think they got it mixed up because the seafood was quite hot even by my spice loving tastebuds' standards. So if you go there and order the Pho, be sure to ask for the mild versions.
I don't know if this is an authentic version of this dish, since it's the first time I've had it. In any case the flavours were very good and it is recommended.
