Last Wednesday's NYT Food Section had a column by Eric Asimov on Gewurztraminers from Anderson Valley. He was raving about several wineries, especially 2 - Lazy Creek (Hope this publicity won't turn my favorite winery into a tourist trap - unlikely since it's at the end of a rutted dirt road at the top of a hill); and Londer. Also included in the article was Navarro.
I hope that the distance from SF will always keep the Anderson Valley less tourist-trappy than Napa and Sonoma. Anyway, I've loved gewurztraminer for a long time and am happy that it's coming into favor. Only wish I'd invested in gewurz futures about 5 years ago.
