My girlfriend and I had lunch at LSR on Saturday. It was her first time, probably my 4th.
We has the tacos de rajas, tacos de chorizo, tacos de calabacitas, the #11 (I don't remember the name but it was marinated pork and melted cheese between 2 tortillas) and guacamole.
Both of our favourites were the #11, augmented with a few dabs of guacamole and a dribbling of their red salsa.
The calabacitas, zuccini and pork for those like me that didn't know what the word meant, were well flavoured but were almost too rich. We felt the same way about the rajas, full of flavour but I almost wanted some beef or pork to cut the richness of the melted cheese and chile mixture. I thought the chorizo was good sausage, but nothing to shout about. It was slightly dry but perked up with a generous dousing of guacamole and salsa.
I like the place because it's different from what I get anywhere else.
We then had burritos from Taqueria El Bahio the next day. Very good burrito.
