LA restaurant salads

Is it safe to assume that most mid-high end restaurants do not use bagged greens in their salads? I'm pregnant, and I'm supposed to refrain from bagged salads due to their high risk of listeria, among other things. I love some of the salads at Roys, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Saddle Peak Lodge, and a few other places in that price range. Would I be ok in ordering salads? Would it be super tacky of me to ask the waiter what they use? I'm having major salad cravings but I'm hesitating...
